Since we have
seen the success of RiverOak's consultations I have been raising the
question "What should SMA do now ?" in what could be a quiet
phase until the full Consultations start.
- I have been quietly asking on the SMA page, on PMs with established
members, and on Committee chat.
One clear form of action is taking the Manson Airport discussion to a
wider audience - to the people of Kent, to those that are not on
Facebook, etc.
So where we are thinking of starting is with "SMA Reaches
Out" ---- to Kentish people and beyond ----- to non FB colleagues
and other groups.
If you wish to help with this task, please pm me.
What are the various ways we can reach them ?
Adverts cost a lot, but we have used them with good effectiveness in
the past;
We used leaflets through doors at the elections, but costs a lot and
very exhausting for lots of people;
Something that is cheap, but very effective is going to village shows,
like the recent Minster Show, where SMA had a gazebo, and handed out a
lot of literature, and sold SMA badges etc.;
Your suggestions please !
